02 Our Story

Born from a heart for the overlooked.

In 2012, a vision was born: a community-focussed charity bringing relief, empowerment and dignity to those facing life’s toughest challenges. Rhythm Initiative was founded by Murray and Kathy Boyton.

Their journey into the disability community began unexpectedly. After a routine surgery, Kathy was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder, shifting their perspective and igniting a passion to advocate for people with disabilities.

Seeing how many fall through the cracks, Rhythm exists so that everyone, regardless of ability, experiences respect, inclusion and opportunity. Recognised as Community Group of the Year (2022) and a 2023 Finalist for the seat of Fisher.
