Your Story Matters
Every person is worthy of dignity and self worth. At Rhythm we place that front and centre in everything we do.
Bringing Relief. Empowering People. Transforming Lives.
At Rhythm, we are dedicated to restoring dignity and making a meaningful impact in every life we touch. We believe that everyoneâs story matters. Through relief efforts, community pathways, and empowerment initiatives, we create opportunities for people to experience hope and inclusion.
From providing inclusive spaces for individuals with additional needs to delivering food relief hampers, supporting local schools with festival face-painting, and serving the community through our mobile coffee van, we are committed to making a difference.
Join us as we empower, uplift, and bring lasting relief to the Sunshine Coast community.
Our Initiatives include:
Rhythm Espresso is dedicated to creating a space of genuine inclusion and empowerment for people with additional needs. Through our structured 12-week training and employment readiness program, participants (trainees) gain valuable insight into working within a real café environment that is safe, encouraging, and fully supported.
Our program focuses on building practical hospitality skills, fostering social confidence, and equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive in the workplace and beyond. While team capacity may vary, our commitment to positive reinforcement, individual growth, and a culture of dignity and care remains unwavering.
Parcels of Peace is Rhythmâs annual Christmas hamper initiative, designed to bring practical support and heartfelt encouragement to vulnerable families across our community. Each year, this program continues to grow, providing gifts and food hampers to households facing hardship â including families impacted by incarceration and those at risk during the holiday season.
Since its launch over five years ago, more than 1,200 individuals have been blessed through Parcels of Peace, receiving essential groceries, toys, and meaningful gestures of care that restore dignity and joy during Christmas.
This program is made possible through generous community partnerships. If youâd like to make a difference by sponsoring a hamper, donating goods, or joining our volunteer team, we would love to hear from you.
Together, we can help make Christmas brighter for families who need it most.
Mulberry Lane is Rhythmâs latest community initiative, designed to support individuals with a concession card and households facing hardship through an affordable and accessible frozen meals program. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to provide nourishment, dignity, and hope for those navigating financial stress or food insecurity.
Thanks to the generosity of our cafĂ© customers who purchase meals at full price, weâre able to redirect profits to fund emergency meals for the homeless, as well as vulnerable individuals and families doing it tough. Currently, we prepare and distribute around 400 frozen meals per month, directly impacting the lives of those who need it most.
Looking ahead, our vision expands with the opening of Mulberry Lane Eats and Wholefoods â a purpose-built cafĂ© and restaurant launching in early 2026 in Nirimba. This new facility will significantly increase our capacity, allowing us to prepare up to 1,000 meals each week, further extending our reach across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding communities.
By supporting Mulberry Lane, youâre not just buying a meal â youâre helping to build a stronger, more compassionate future for everyone.
What We Do
At Rhythm, our mission is clear: to break cycles of isolation, anxiety, and financial stress, empowering individuals to step into their full potential. We believe that every person has a story and a purpose, but lifeâs challenges can create barriers that hold people back.
Through community-driven initiatives, we provide practical support, encouragement, and opportunities for people to thrive. Recognized as Community Group of the Year (2022) and a 2023 Finalist for the Federal Electoral Seat of Fisher, we are committed to partnering with the Sunshine Coast community to restore dignity, hope, and a sense of value for all.
In 2012, a vision was bornâto create a community-focused charity dedicated to bringing relief, empowerment, and dignity to those facing lifeâs toughest challenges.
Rhythm Initiative was founded by Murray and Kathy Boyton, whose journey into the disability community began unexpectedly. Following a routine surgery, Kathy was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), shifting their perspective and igniting a passion to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
Seeing firsthand how many fall through the cracks of society, Rhythm Initiative was established to ensure that everyoneâregardless of abilityâexperiences respect, inclusion, and opportunity.
Today, our mission continues to impact lives across the Sunshine Coast and beyond. Join us as we create lasting change!
At Rhythm, we are dedicated to supporting families in need across the Sunshine Coast, providing food relief to those facing shortages and creating inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities through our community-driven café.
With the rising cost of living, more families than ever are struggling to put food on the table. Through your direct support, we can continue delivering essential food hampers, meals, and assistance, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.
Beyond food relief, our inclusive café serves as a safe space where individuals with disabilities can gain skills, build confidence, and experience meaningful employment. By donating, volunteering, or visiting our café, you are helping us empower lives, restore dignity, and strengthen the Sunshine Coast community.
Now is the time to make a real difference.
